A walk through the heart of medieval Toruń – a city of raftmen, merchants, and scholars – which we will begin at the ruins of the Teutonic Castle. Next, we will proceed to the Old Town Hall, then toward the Raftman Monument, step inside St. Mary’s Church, pass Caesar’s Arch, the defensive walls, and the Leaning Tower.
We will stop by the granaries and the Holy Spirit Gate, from where people once descended to the port on the Vistula River. Next, we will follow the Royal Route to the Cathedral Basilica, stepping inside to discover its unique history and importance to the city.
Then, we will stop by Nicolaus Copernicus’ House to talk about the mysterious life of the astronomer. We will end our walk at the Old Town Market Square, by Nicolaus’ monument, to see for ourselves if "Copernicus was a woman" and try to answer a question that has intrigued all visitors to our city for years.
A lunch break at a local restaurant is scheduled during the tour (lunch is not included in the tour price). *Depending on the pace of the tour, the itinerary and order of visited sites may change. *The tour itinerary can be adjusted to the needs of the group.- Toruń City Guide
